The ads are endless and ad nauseam:
Hurt in a car, call William Mattar
Sometimes good people make mistakes
Slips or falls, call Robert Berkin
…because we treat you like family, your power of attorney
Call our firm, we would be honored to talk with you
Does anybody actually like these commercials? Are you moved to pick up the phone and call them for your legal needs? Perhaps. The personal injury guys are the ones that really get me with their pseudo-sincere empathy for their potential clients. Mind you that this branch of jurisprudence is at the bottom of the legal food chain. They are in it for the money, nothing else. They are not going to be at the forefront of any groundbreaking legal reforms. All they really want to determine is how much money can we make off your pain and suffering or worse yet, your permanent disabilities (chaching, chaching). It’s not by accident that the city’s biggest PI firm has a sattelite office directly across the street from ECMC.
And does anyone care where they are ranked in their own industry trade rags? ( It’s like the local press always thinking this year the Bills will be in the playoffs, while the mainstream media as well as Vegas had them pegged at 6 -10, which is exactly where they finished!) I would rather like to know where they graduated from and where they ranked in their class! But that’s just me.
Answer me the following:
Who do I call if I’m hurt in say a bus and what is that phone number Bill?
Hey Sam, when good people get drunk and drive they should go to jail and not drive!
Slip and fall on ice, in Buffalo, in winter? Watch where you’re walking dumb ass!
What the hell is my power of attorney? And again I’m not your family!
The only way that C & B ( weren’t you the Barnes group? ) is honored to call me is if I can make them a pile of dough
only in Buffalo….
